What is a Belly Cast?
A belly casting is a lasting keep sake of the beautiful final stage of your pregnancy. It is a wonderful memento, turned into a unique piece of art. We will travel to your home with our belly casting materials to begin capturing your glowing goddess shape, before giving birth to your precious child. This can be done privately, with family involved, or even at a baby shower if you choose. Children also love to help.
A belly casting is a cast made of a pregnant belly using plaster gauze reinforced with added plaster. The casting takes roughly 20-30 minutes itself. Anticipate a total of an hour between setup, casting, and clean up. We will then take the casting with us and finish it with your one of a kind design. Anticipate 2-3 weeks for finishing and delivery, subject to change depending on the weather and scheduling.
